Manali Apples

Manali is also famous for its variety of apples. Not only apple but also apricots, plums, cherry are also available during various seasons, but apples are the main source of income of people after tourism industry. Apples are also grown in other parts of Himachal Pradesh like Shimla, Kinnaur and other high altitude region.



You can fine apple laden orchards during the month of August and September. Few year back people send their crops to Delhi in wooden boxes of 10kg and 20kg, but due to modernization of Global markets now big names like Reliance and Adani purchases apples directly from the farmers and the also get handsome amount to them. And lots of fruit markets are also nearby available where farmers sell their apples through auctions.



While travelling to Manali you can find apple orchards from Kullu onward towards Manali. And lots of stalls are available between Kullu and Manali where people sell fresh fruits to tourists. So next time while travelling to Manali don’t forget to take juicy gift of Manali.

Up Above Clouds – Rohtang Pass


Exploring high mountains peaks is always a pleasure and when it is at 13050 ft its really amazing. This monsoon, one morning this rear eye catching view was available from Rohtang Pass when the whole Manali Valley was covered with clouds and above that the high peaks of Pirpanjal was visible. It was looking like a white Ocean which was covered with blue sky.



As compared to peak season of Manali, Monsoon season is less crowed and hotels are easily available at cheap prices and also taxi for sightseeing at reasonable price. Maximum hotels are offering 40 to 50% discount on their rates and packages. Foreigner tourist also prefers this season and it is the best time for bikers to explore Manali Leh route.

Chandra Taal Lake, Lahaul and Spiti - Himachal Pradesh.

Lahaul and Spiti is one of the district of Himachal Pradesh which is home of high peaks, huge glaciers, passes, monasteries, temples , lakes and also origin of two large rivers called Chandra and Bhaga. Both rivers meet at Tandi village of Lahaul and Spiti later assumes as river Chenab.
Beautiful Chandra Taal Lake is the source of river Chandra. Chandra means moon and tall means lake. Lake has 2.5km of circumferences and the crystal clear blue looking water attracts lots of nature lover, photographer and trekkers from all over world. Lake is situated at 4300 mts. This lake was discovered by traders from Tibet and Ladhak region who take night halt near the lake during there journey. But now because of its beauty lake is developed as a prefect tourist destination.

Chandra Tall lake is around 120 km away from Manali, but it takes around 5 – 6 hrs to reach due to bad road conditions. Route of Chandra Taal lake mostly remains open between the month of June to September depends upon the weather conditions. Few camping sites are available near lake, but due to limited accommodation maximum traveller visit this lake in a single day from Manali or Kaza.
